Is online CPR and First Aid training accepted?

Online-only training may not be enough when a requirement calls for a hands-on skills check with an instructor. Which organization certifies your training?

American Health Association training follows the most recent internationally accepted guidelines established by ILCOR (the International Liaison Committee on Resuscitation). The training meets or exceeds the 2025 ECC Guidelines and is based on the Consensus Conference on Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation and Emergency Cardiovascular Care Science.  Our instructional staff has more than 30 years of combined educational experience, and licensed physicians, paramedics, and nurses developed our curriculum.  We continually review the curriculum to provide the most up-to-date information.

American Health Association curriculum is equivalent to and based on the same guidelines taught by the American Red Cross, American Heart Association®, Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada, and Canada OH&S.

What kind of certification card will I receive after I complete my training?

Cards are issued by the American Health Association.  American Health Association certification is internationally recognized and accepted in all 50 states and Canada, Puerto Rico, the US Virgin Islands, and many other countries worldwide.

After completion, can I print my actual certification card?

Yes. After completing your training course, you can immediately print your full-color certification card. If you'd also like a printed card mailed to you, a hard-copy wallet card is $9.95 USD and a wallet card plus wall certificate is $12.95 USD, both with free shipping. How do I enroll and purchase online training?

On the Home page of our website, you will see the courses we offer. Find the course you need and click on the “Buy It” button to register and pay for that course. Fill out the registration information and pay using any major credit/debit card.

What happens after I enroll?

Immediately after enrolling, you will be directed to your course login area. Once there, you can view your personal and course information. You can begin your training course immediately. Each course has multiple training sections. Once you complete all sections, you can print your full-color certification card right away.

Is the training WSIB approved?

No. WSIB has not yet approved online CPR or First Aid certification.

What if I don't pass the exam?

No problem! You can take the exam as many times as you need until you successfully pass.

What types of payment do you accept?

How do I enroll 2 or more people?

Change the quantity in your shopping cart to the number of courses you want to purchase. During registration, provide the primary person's information. After you enroll and pay, go to your account area to add the other members' names.

If you purchase 5 or more courses, you will then be recognized as a group. Groups receive a $5.00 discount per course. During group registration, one person must register as the “Group Administrator.” After the group is registered, the Group Administrator logs in to the group account and adds the other members. How long does the training take?

Each course varies in length and can take 30-90 minutes to complete. On our Home page, find the course you need and click on the “Learn More” button to find out the exact length of that course.

Can I stop and start my training course?

Yes. You can log in and out of your training course as often as you like.

How long is the certification good for?

All certification courses are good for 2 years.

How long do I have to complete the training course?

There is no time limit for completing your training course.

Do the training courses qualify for continuing education?

Although we do not offer a formal continuing education certificate, our training qualifies for CE credits with many organizations. Our CPR courses qualify for 2 hours of CE, and our First Aid is also good for 2 hours. Most organizations only require a copy of your certification card to meet their CE requirement.
